San Francisco-based photographer Nancy Palmer discovered her love for bird photography in 2018 after attending a Golden Gate Bird Alliance walk at the San Francisco Botanical Garden. What started as a simple outing quickly became a passion—slowing down, observing birds, and appreciating nature in a whole new way.
With a background in fine art photography and graphic design, Nancy’s work highlights composition, light, and the unique characteristics of each species, along with the habitats they call home. She is passionate about bird conservation and hopes her photography will bring more awareness to the challenges facing bird populations worldwide.
On most days, you will find Nancy juggling her binoculars and camera while chasing birds in the San Francisco Bay Area.
